SE's coming up with a new line, independent from their other phones and by the looks of it is produced by HTC. I think this collaboration will do just fine, meshing smartphone, looks, and overall mobile experience. Without further ado: The X1 Sounds like a sonic jet or something. I wouldn't call it the iPhone killer yet, but I think it will stand up to it. On paper it already does look like it's doing a good job. Well iPhone users don't seem to. I even bet it's unlocked. hee. I smell WinMo vs. OSX Anyway, who am I to talk about this, I don't have a smartphone, haven't touched one, and am dirt poor. Somebody pay me for my hyped previews! But still, I want one. So til then, here are more pics. from: Engadget, Sony-Ericsson, and GSM Arena
It's like Macbook Pro+Razr or something. I'll just let the pictures do the talking Boo!: -Internal, non-user replaceable battery -no bundled superdrive/cd/dvd drive (external, optional)* -micro-DVI output can only display on (up to) 24-inch monitors -the only supposedly input will be the single usb port. duh. -no RJ-45 port. (no ethernet! optional usb adapter, 20-something dollars)
*The latest Apple hoo-ha is the Remote Disc. One has to carry around CD/DVDs and expect another person or place to have a MAC/PC with a CD/DVD drive, stick one's optical media into that drive and wait for it to wirelessly sync with the MacBook Air. Provided that the host machine IS enabled for wireless communication over compatible protocols (wireless-n or bluetooth). The hassle.
and lastly. $1800! and that's the base model, get all available, internal options (1.8GHz processor, 64GB SSD) and that's +$1000 more! For a grand total of $3,098.

 Iphone/Ipod Touch 1.1.3 Firmware update
and some others. From Apple
Not too excited about these ones, i guess Apple just gave in to demand for these, but came up short. I call them freak Ipods. Click on the pics for more infoFat Ipod?First off is the fat nano, widened because of the new wide video screen integrated. I guess this is also the first time leaked news was true since pics of this particular ipod surfaced a couple of months ago. Coming in at 4GB and 8GB, I don't think thats much of a turn on with people wanting to watch videos, unless you watch an episode at a time or just have a couple of videos on their Ipod. (4GB, silver: $149; 8GB, silver, black, blue, green, red: $199). TouchNext is the new Ipod Touch. It's a freak Iphone. Actually an Iphone without the phone part. That's it. Wifi, 3.5" touch screen, landscape and portrait orientation. Comes in 8 and 16 GB. (8GB $299; 16GB $399)
although the pic isnt real, the rumor is supposedly true. hehe aliw 1 shuffle for me please! read here
So Microsoft releases their much awaited DAP which not only similar to the iPod in a way, but presents more bells and whistles. I bring you the Zune Not only does it look sweet, the features are something iPods have been long demanded of, including -wifi (zune-to-zune sharing) -fm (well, hello there) -bigger screen (3", sweet!) -and finally, support for landscape and portrait viewing. all this with the standard audio, video and image viewing that we've all come to know of (unprotected WMA, MP3, AAC; photos in JPEG; and
videos in WMV, MPEG-4, H.264). it also comes with its own device/download/purchase/image manager, also called the zune some of you might say that it looks like a skinned iTunes. nice. anyway, no news on pricing and release yet, only that it comes in 30GB trim, and in three colors: black, white and brown. i personally like the brown one hehe.
